The next Saturday Soul is June 1 in Venice, so share it with all your friends and let’s pack the house!!

A soulful message for today
A friend recently asked me why I meditate and what it does for me.
My initial thought? It helps declutter the desk of my mind.
Deep down, we all know the answers we need. We know what to say, what to do, what we need, and which choices to make. But, in this modern world, our senses are bombarded with everyone else's noise—their ideas, opinions, work, life, joys, and traumas. It's easy to lose clarity, clouding our ability to hear our own inner voice.
If life is like plaque building up on our teeth, then meditation is brushing them clean.
If life is like sitting in your office while your people pile up documents on your desk, then meditation is taking the time to declutter and organize.
When you declutter your desk, you find that clarity. You remember what you really wanted, you're able to process that nudging frustration. You remember the tools that can help you show up better in this moment. Meditation slows everything down, so you can be here.
It's one of many reasons, and it felt particularly meaningful this week.
It also reminded me of a beautiful perspective on meditation and presence from Simon Sinek.

A question to meditate on
Take a long, slow, deep breath in…
What would it look like to love myself even more today? This week?
What would I choose to do?
How would I respond to others?
How would I respond to myself?
Exhale.

Two quotes to take you higher
“In this world
Hate never yet dispelled hate.
Only love dispels hate.
This is the law, ancient and inexhaustible.”
“If you are irritated by every rub, how will you be polished?”

The next Saturday Soul will be on June 1 – click here to RSVP 💛
Until then, happy Saturday Soul 💫
