A quick note from Saturday Soul
and announcing our next event!
Hey, it’s Kevin. For me, Saturday Soul is about having a place we can come together to let go of the insanity of the week. Where we can connect more deeply with ourselves, each other, and something greater.
And while it’s only once a month, for now… we should be able to reset and recharge every Saturday.
So until then, consider this your weekend reset.
Welcome to Wake Up with Saturday Soul, your weekly dose of inspiration to take you higher into your weekend. Because after all, it is your weekend. Let’s make sure no one takes it away from you.
p.s. get your spot for the next Saturday Soul here – it’s on May 4th.

A question to meditate on
Take a long, slow, deep breath in…
Who am I when I am at my best?
How do I act?
How do I breath?
How do I move?
How do I speak?
What do I sound like?
Exhale.

Two quotes to take you higher
If you look at the future with fear, it’s pain. If you look at the future with faith, it’s joy. So your only job is to get out of your fear, and into your faith.
You can do it like it’s a great weight on you, or you can do it like a dance.

A soulful idea I found this week
Collective Effervescence.
We’ve all experienced it, but we hardly ever name it. It’s that feeling when a really good movie finishes and everyone in the theater claps in joy and gratitude. Or when you’re at a concert, and the artist stops singing their most famous song, so the entire crowd roars back every lyric. And who can forget those moments at a bar when "Sweet Caroline" comes on, and every single person gives up their individual conversations for the collective experience of singing that hook – bah! bah! bah!
I came upon this idea last week through Brene Brown, who attributed it to Emile Durkheim. It’s when everyone in a group sets aside their personal feelings and emotions in support of a collective one. It's the magic of a truly shared experience. And this collective effervescence, whether it’s happening at a bar, a basketball game, a church, mosque, or temple, is magical. It wakes you up and makes you feel alive again.
Without realizing it, this was the experience I was craving with Saturday Soul. We can socialize and go to event after event after event. But how often does everyone in a room actually share a viscerally alive experience, and even actively participate in creating it? That’s collective effervescence.
Where can you find, or even create, a moment of collective effervescence this week?

Written by you, for you
The following is wisdom shared from attendees of Saturday Soul on their cards. It was written for you 🫶
“Believe in the infinite possibilities of how and when things can happen for you”
“You have had it all along”
“Everything you need to heal is already right in front of you”
“Create space by minimizing distraction”
“It’s all a mirror, life reflects who we are inside.”
“You are capable of more than you know. I believe in you.”

The next Saturday Soul will be May 4th in Venice!! Get your spot now.
